Associate attorney Sara Shariff is a North Carolina native who earned her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2017. Ms. Shariff earned her B.A., with a dual-major in Political Science and Global Studies and a minor in Arabic language, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014.

Ms. Shariff was a two-year active member of the Mock Trial team at USC, competing at the 2016 South Texas Mock Trial Invitational and 2017 AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Competition. She was also awarded the Dean’s List and inducted into the Order of the Litigators while at USC law. During her time at USC Law, she was a mentor in the Constitutional Scholars Mentorship program and a student attorney in the Special Education Advocacy Clinic, where she represented local, low-income students with special education needs.

Throughout law school, Ms. Shariff also worked as a law clerk at a foreclosure defense litigation firm. During the summer of 2016, she completed a certificate program at Yale University’s Bioethics Summer Institute and received the Pollard Prize for best graduate-level final research presentation in Health and Policy Law.

She is a very diligent worker who will produce the best quality work to fight for her clients. She is very excited to start her position as attorney of law at the Thoronka Law Offices.
